BayCare Health System is seeking a Surgical Technologist First Assistant for Bartow Medical Center. The role involves assisting surgeons in the OR to provide exposure, maintain homeostasis, and perform technical tasks as defined by the surgeon.

Requirements include 3+ years as a Surgical Tech or 2 years as a Surgical Technologist First Assistant, a high school diploma, and BLS certification. The position is full-time, on-site, with occasional weekend work and on-call duties.

• As defined by the American College of Surgeons, Surgical Assistants (SAs) are trained individuals who are able to participate in, and actively assist the surgeon in, completing the operation safely and expeditiously by helping to provide exposure, maintain homeostasis, and other technical functions

Position Details

On Call: Yes

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years experience as a Surgical Tech OR 2-years Surgical Technologist First Assistant - Main OR experience.
• High School or Equivalent
• Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) with the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
