Mercy Hospital Washington in Missouri is seeking an experienced Surgical Technologist First Assist (STFA) or Certified Surgical First Assistant (CSFA) to join our Operating Room team. This full-time role provides advanced intraoperative support, ensures patient safety, and supports surgeons throughout perioperative care.

The position requires hands-on scrub and first-assist duties, includes 11:00 am–9:30 pm shifts with 4x10 schedules, and offers day-one medical benefits, retirement matching,

Qualifications

• Experienced Surgical Technologist with first assist experience.
• Certified Surgical First Assistant (CSFA) preferred or eligible.
• Ability to support surgeons during all perioperative phases.
• Strong teamwork and patient safety focus.

Responsibilities

• Provide advanced intraoperative assistance to surgeons.
• Maintain sterile technique and instrument handling.
• Assist with surgical exposure, hemostasis, and wound closure.
• Prepare and manage instrumentation and site preparation.
• Support perioperative team to ensure safe patient care.
