Job summary

Novant Health’s Presbyterian Medical Center is seeking a Surgical Technologist to support the safe conduct of invasive procedures and to assist surgeons and nurses in the operating room. This full-time role emphasizes sterility, equipment readiness, and patient safety across a variety of surgical cases.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED, completed accredited surgical tech training, and CST/TS-C/NRCST/SA-C certification; certification within 12 months is encouraged for

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program or military training (68D) preferred.
• Previous Surgical Technologist experience preferred.
• Current CST/TS-C/NRCST/SA-C certification preferred; state-specific SC region certification required.
• If not certified, ability to obtain certification within 12 months; demonstrate customer service, verbal and nonverbal communication, interpersonal skills and time management.

Responsibilities

• Prepare operating rooms, arrange sterile equipment, and assist doctors during surgeries to facilitate safe, efficient procedures.
• Ensure equipment functions properly and the operating room environment supports patient safety throughout procedures.
