Job summary

Novant Health is hiring a Surgical Technologist for the Operating Room at New Hanover Regional Medical Center in Wilmington, NC. The role is full-time days in the OR with responsibilities including scrub, gown, glove, instrument setup, and assisting the surgeon during procedures.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED and be graduates of an accredited Surgical Technology program or have Military training (68D). CST certification is preferred and state-specific requirements may apply.

Qualifications

• Must have CST/TS-C/NRCST/SA-C certification; state-specific requirements may apply.
• Graduate of an accredited School of Surgical Technology or Military Training Equivalent (68D).
• Previous Surgical Technologist experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assists with patient care in the OR while following policies and procedures.
• Maintains clinical and professional surgical services competencies.
• Assists in preparing sterile field, gowns, gloves, and instruments.
• Performs counts and passes instruments to the surgeon during procedures.
• Maintains sterile technique and assists in room cleanup and setup for next patient.
