We are seeking dedicated Surgical Tech Extern PRN to join LewisGale Medical Center, part of HCA Healthcare. This role involves working as a collaborative member of the SPD and Surgical Services team, following protocols for sterilizing and preparing surgical supplies, and assisting OR staff as needed.

Responsibilities include:

• Preparing and distributing surgical case carts
• Monitoring sterilizer indicators
• Assisting in obtaining and organizing surgical instruments
• Positioning patients and setting up equipment for surgeries
• Working closely with OR staff to ensure efficient room turnover

Qualifications:

• Currently enrolled in an accredited Surgical Technology Program (required)
• Preferred: 1+ year healthcare experience
• BLS or BCLS certification from American Red Cross or American Heart Association within 30 days of hire
