MercyOne Genesis is seeking a Surgical Technician to join the operating room team. You will function as a scrub tech during intraoperative patient care under direct RN supervision, following MercyOne Genesis standards and ensuring instrument and sterility protocols.

The role offers a full-time schedule (32 hours/week), with days 9am-5:30pm and on-call nights, weekends, and holidays. CST certification is preferred; LPN with surgical experience also considered.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of surgical technology; completion of surgical tech apprenticeship or military program.
• Or graduate of an LPN program with Surgical experience; or equivalent experience to demonstrate competency.
• CST certification preferred but not required in Iowa. CST certification is required within 18-months of hire, if working in Illinois.
• No prior experience is required.
• BLS. Mandatory Reporter.
• Ability to work with diverse groups of people; ability to work under pressure and with a large degree of independence and accountability; and the ability to accept responsibility for the direction, control or planning of an activity.
• Adaptability to performing a variety of duties, often changing from one task to another without loss of efficiency or composure.

Responsabilités

• Maintain adherence to standards and support the philosophies of MercyOne Genesis.
• Assist with set-up, sterile technique, and instrument handling as part of the surgical team.
• Support 32-hour weekly schedule with day shift and on-call rotation for nights, weekends, and holidays.

We are looking to hire a Surgical Technician. The Surgical Technician functions in the scrub role during intraoperative patient care, doing so as a delegated technical function under the direct supervision of the Registered Nurse. The provision of care is consistent through adherence to standards and support of the philosophies of Genesis Medical Center.

Schedule:

• Full-time, 32 hours per week

General Requirements:

Pay Range: $23.27 - $36.65 per hour Actual compensation will fall within the range but may vary based on factors such as experience, qualifications, education, location, licensure, certification requirements, and comparisons to colleagues in similar role.
