Job summary

AdventHealth Minneola Campus is seeking a full-time Surgical Technologist for Day shifts. The role requires assisting surgeons, maintaining aseptic technique, and coordinating supplies and instruments.

You will support patient care teams and uphold regulatory standards, with opportunities for orientation and training of new staff. Qualified candidates have high school or equivalent, with preferred associate or technical training in Surgical Technology and BLS certification.

Qualifications

• High school grad or equivalent required; additional technical training preferred.
• Associate degree or technical/vocational training in Surgical Technology.
• Certification in surgical technology and BLS may be required.
• Experience with aseptic technique and surgical instrumentation.
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements for healthcare environments.

Responsibilities

• Anticipate surgeon needs and inform circulating nurse throughout procedures.
• Maintain high standards for cost savings and containment.
• Assemble supplies, equipment, and medications prior to procedures.
• Support satisfaction and relationships with physicians, staff, and departments.
• Monitor aseptic technique and correct any breaks in protocol.
• Identify environmental concerns and ensure regulatory adherence.
• Supervise other staff and assist with orientation and training.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
