Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited Surgical Technology program.
• No experience required; hospital experience preferred.
• Level 2 requires at least 3 years of experience; Level 3 requires at least 5 years.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes physician's preference cards to prepare the OR for surgery.
• Maintains instrument supply and updates preference cards.
• Scrubs in and sets up instruments and supplies prior to procedures.
• Prepares sterile fields and ensures sterile techniques throughout procedures.
• Delivers medications to the surgeon and assists with counts as directed.
