Job summary

Trinity Health's St. Francis Hospital seeks a Surgical Technologist to support the operative team. You will assist in planning and executing procedures, maintain asepsis, and ensure accurate documentation and specimen handling.

Responsibilities include instrument preparation, proper scrub technique, counts with nursing staff, and collaboration with surgeons and anesthesiologists. Day shift with on-call coverage; high school diploma and OR tech training required.

Qualifications

• Collaborate with other team members to assure patient well-being.
• Maintain asepsis and operate within OR standards.
• Accurate perioperative documentation and specimen handling.

Responsibilities

• Assist surgeons and nurses in planning and executing procedures.
• Prepare instrumentation and draping according to physician cards.
• Perform sponge/needle/sharp counts with RN and maintain safety protocols.
• Ensure proper case cart setup and instrument handling.
• Communicate changes in procedure or patient condition to supervising staff.
