Job summary

Novant Health is seeking a Surgical Technologist for the Operating Room – Orthopedic Hospital in Wilmington. The role requires a minimum of 1 year Surgical Tech experience and the ability to assist in invasive procedures from 7am to 7pm on a full-time basis.

Education includes a High School Diploma or GED, with completion of an accredited Surgical Technology program or Military Training (68D) preferred. Certification in CST/TS-C/NRCST/SA-C is desirable.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Graduate of accredited Surgical Technology program or Military Training (68D) preferred or required per region.
• Current Surgical Tech Certification preferred; SC region certification required for South Carolina region.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate the safe and effective conduct of invasive surgical procedures.
• Ensure that the operating room environment is safe and that equipment functions properly.
• Apply sterile and aseptic technique and support the physician’s performance of procedures.
