Job summary

Ardent Health Services is seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) for a day shift, full-time position in Cushing, OK. You will work under direct supervision of the Physician and Registered Nurse to support surgical procedures.

The ideal candidate will have graduation from an accredited CST program, sterile technique knowledge, BLS certification within 14 days of hire, and up to 1 year of CST experience. We offer a supportive team and opportunities for career growth.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited surgical technology program.
• BLS certification within 14 days of hire.
• 1 year of Surgical Tech experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care under the direct supervision of the Physician and the Registered Nurse.
• Demonstrates responsibility and accountability in selecting, assembling, testing, and operating equipment and instruments in accordance with policies and procedures.
• Act as primary scrub person, handling the instruments, supplies, and equipment during the surgical procedure while applying principles of sterile technique.
• Contribute to expected patient outcomes in accordance with policies, procedures, established standards, and administrative policies.

• Hillcrest Hospital Cushing is a 99-bed community-owned facility offering a variety of services for patients of all ages in the Cushing, Oklahoma area. The hospital offers 24-hour emergency services, inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation, diagnostic imaging, orthopedics, neurosurgery, urology and more. In 2025, the hospital will add inpatient behavioral health services.

• Provide patient care under the direct supervision of the Physician and the Registered Nurse.

Job Requirements:

• Graduate from an accredited surgical technology program
• Sterile Technique knowledge
• BLS certification is required within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.

Preferred Job Requirements:

• 1 year of Surgical Tech experience.
