Job summary

7th Avenue Surgery Center is seeking a certified Surgical Technologist dedicated to patient care with a strong emphasis on aseptic technique. This role offers a daytime schedule with no nights, weekends, or holidays required.

Responsibilities include assisting surgeons, preparing the OR, and maintaining sterility and inventory. Requires Surgical Tech certification, CLS, and OR experience. Growth opportunities and comprehensive benefits provided.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of Surgical Technician training program required.
• Current Surgical Technology certification required.
• Current Cardiac Life Support certification required.
• Membership in a surgical specialty society encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Prepare operating room and ensure equipment is disinfected and ready for procedures.
• Assist surgeon and staff by passing sterile instruments and supplies during procedures.
• Maintain strict aseptic technique and report any breaks to the circulating nurse and surgeon.
• Isolate contaminated instruments to minimize infection spread.
• Receive specimens and prepare for laboratory analysis.
• Clean and restock operating room after each procedure; maintain inventory of supplies.
• Perform other duties as directed by Director of Nursing and physicians.
