Job summary

Seventh Ave Surgery Center in Nebraska is seeking a certified surgical technologist dedicated to patient care with no night shifts, weekends, or holidays. You will support surgeons and nursing staff during procedures in a ambulatory setting, ensuring sterile technique and efficient instrument turnover.

The role emphasizes collaboration, adherence to infection control, and safe care. Requires surgical tech training and certification; prior OR experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Current Cardiac Life Support certification.
• Completion of Surgical Technician training with at least one year of operating room experience.
• Current Surgical Technology certification.
• Membership in surgical specialty society encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Prepare operating room, disinfect and assemble equipment; verify equipment is in working order.
• Assist surgeon and surgical staff during procedures by passing sterile instruments and supplies.
• Observe strict aseptic technique and report breaks in technique to the circulating nurse and surgeon.
• Isolate soiled or contaminated instruments and supplies to minimize infection spread.
• Receive specimens and prepare them for laboratory analysis.
• Clean and restock the operating room following each procedure.
• Maintain inventory of surgical supplies.
• Perform other duties as determined by the Director of Nursing and Doctor(s).
