Job summary

Essentia Health is seeking a Surgical Technologist to serve in the operating room at St. Mary's Medical Center, located in Duluth, Minnesota. You will work a 36-hour week with multiple shift options including day, evening, and night rotations, on a four-week rotating schedule with one weekend and a holiday rotation.

The role requires graduation from an accredited surgical technologist program, BCLS certification within one month of hire, and preferred certification as a Surgical Technologist.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited surgical technologist program.
• BCLS certification required within 1 month of hire.
• Certification as a Surgical Technologist is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Functions under the supervision of an RN in providing technical interventions in the Operating Room to patients of all ages.
• They are also responsible for tasks relating to instrumentation, equipment, prosthesis, and supplies.
• May perform other duties as assigned by the department.
