Job summary

Essentia Health is seeking a Surgical Technologist to join the cardiac call team at St. Mary’s Medical Center in Duluth, MN. The role supports complex cardiovascular procedures, scrubbing in under RN supervision and ensuring instrument and equipment readiness for all ages.

You will work 36 hours weekly on 7:00 am–3:30 pm or 10:00 am–6:30 pm shifts, with on-call obligations after 6:30 pm on weekdays and a 24-hour weekend on-call. Relocation assistance is available for the right candidate.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited surgical technologist program.
• BCLS certification required within 1 month of hire.
• Surgical technologist certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Functions under the supervision of an RN in the Operating Room to patients of all ages. Instrumentation, equipment, prosthesis, and supplies are managed as part of the role.
• May perform other duties as assigned by the department.

Job Description: Essentia Health is seeking a Surgical Technologist to serve on the cardiac call team at St. Mary's Medical Center, located in Duluth, Minnesota.

This surgical technologist works 36 hours weekly on 7:00 am to 3:30 pm and 10:00 am to 6:30 pm shifts. On-call requirements include weekdays after 6:30 pm and 24-hour on-call over the weekend (Saturday and Sunday). These responsibilities rotate between members of the cardiac core team. Relocation assistance is available.

Licensure/Certification Qualifications

• AHA Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification is required within 1 month of hire.
