Qualifications

• Graduate from a specialty training program.

• Ability to work in a team environment, follow protocols, and perform additional duties like specimen collection and patient transport.

Job description

Role: Surgical Technologist responsible for assisting surgeons during surgical procedures across all ages, ensuring sterile techniques, accurate specimen handling, and maintaining supplies.

Key Responsibilities: Prepare operating rooms, connect patients to equipment, verify surgical site, participate in safety protocols, maintain documentation, manage specimens, assist with wound care, and support emergency procedures. Acts as a preceptor for students, performs quality control, and participates in on-call rotations. Ensures adherence to policies and standards of care.

Qualifications & Skills: Current certification as a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) or eligible per PA Act 80. Graduate from a specialty training program. Strong knowledge of aseptic techniques, patient care, and surgical procedures.
