Job summary

Ardent Health Services in Pryor, OK seeks a Certified Surgical Tech for day shift (PRN) to support our surgical team at Hillcrest Hospital Pryor. The role involves scrubbing, sterile technique, and preparation of instruments for procedures.

You will assist with instrument sterilization, equipment readiness, and adherence to safety policies. Prior OR experience is preferred, and commitment to patient care is essential.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED.
• Completion of an accredited Surgical Tech program.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.

Responsibilities

• Perform as a primary scrub person handling the instruments, supplies, and equipment during the surgical procedure while applying principles of sterile technique.
• Demonstrates responsibility and accountability in selecting, assembling, testing, and operating equipment and instruments in accordance with policies and procedures.
• Decontaminate and sterilize instruments, medical supplies and equipment and assembles, wraps and sterilizes instrument trays.
• Monitor biological and chemical wash solution to ensure quality and consistency of decontamination of instruments and medical equipment.
• Assist with maintaining established departmental policies and procedures.

Education
