Job summary

MultiCare Allenmore Hospital in Tacoma, WA seeks a Certified Surgical Technologist to assist with care and preparation of the surgical patient and to set up instrumentation under the supervision of an OR RN.

Qualifications

• Graduate of Certified Surgical Technologist program or equivalent experience.
• National certification as a Surgical Technologist preferred.
• Active Washington State Surgical Technologist Registration required prior to start date.
• Health Care Provider level CPR certification.
• Previous experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the care and preparation of the surgical patient and the operating room under the direct supervision of an operating room RN.
• Responsible for the assembly, set-up, and use of surgical instrumentation and equipment during procedures.
• Work situations are routine but may change rapidly to emergent or critical situations, requiring directed or independent decision-making.
