Job summary

Medical City Frisco, part of the HCA Healthcare network, is seeking a Surgical Technologist to support the OR team. The role focuses on sterile technique, instrument handling, and assisting surgeons during procedures, with emphasis on patient safety and efficient operation room flow.

Qualifications include completion of a vocational program, TS-C/ST/CST certification or equivalent, and OR experience. BLS within 30 days is required, with comprehensive benefits and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• Vocational School Graduate credentialed for surgical tech.
• (TS-C) Tech in Surgery - Certified, or (ST) Surgical Technologist, or (CST) Certified Surgical Technologist, or work experience in lieu of credential.
• +1 year operating room experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs necessary scrub duties with aseptic technique.
• Documents accurately on all records per policy.
• Arrives on time and prepared for scheduled hours.
• Prepares the operating room for procedures.
• Ensures surgical equipment is functioning properly and safely.
• Anticipates the needs of the surgical team based on anatomy and procedure.
