Job summary

Medical City Alliance in Fort Worth is seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist to support the operating room under the Circulating RN, preparing the suite and providing instruments and supplies to the surgical team during procedures.

The role emphasizes asepsis, proper instrument counts, and maintaining a sterile field to promote patient safety and efficient case turnover. Collaboration with surgeons and staff is essential for high-quality care.

Qualifications

• EDUCATION: Vocational training in Surgical Technology
• LICENSURE/CERTIFICATIONS: Currently certified as Surgical Technician or Surgical Technologist in the state(s) of practice, in accordance with law and regulation.
• Basic Life Support (BLS).

Responsibilities

• Organizes the operating suite with instruments, supplies, and equipment needed for the day.
• Ensures proper functioning of equipment/instruments prior to procedures.
• Prepares for emergency and add on cases rapidly and effectively.
• Transports patients to and from surgical suite as needed.
• Assists in the transfer, positioning, prepping, and draping of patients for surgical procedures in accordance with hospital standards.
• Performs and/or assists in scrub/gown/glove process for self and team.
