Job summary

HCA Florida UCF Lake Nona Hospital is seeking a Surgical Technologist Certified to assist in the interoperative phase under OR supervision. You may be called to assist in the LDRP department during staffing needs and to support the main OR as required.

The role requires vocational training and CST/TS-C certification, with BCLS ideally completed within 30 days of starting. This position is based in the Orlando area with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Vocational training or diploma in surgical technology or a related field.
• Certification as TS-C or CST required or in progress.
• BCLS certification obtained within 30 days of start date.

Responsibilities

• Assist in delivery of patient care during the interoperative phase under OR supervision.
• Support LDRP department during emergency staffing needs as needed.
• Adhere to facility policies and procedures for safe surgical care.

Job Summary and Qualifications

Job Summary:

Under the supervision of the OR staff, assists in the delivery of patient care during the interoperative phase according to the policies and procedures of the facility. May be called upon to help with the LDRP department in case of emergency staffing needs and the LDRP staff may be called on to help the main OR.

What qualifications you will need:

• Vocational School Graduate

• (TS-C) Tech in Surgery - Certified, or (CST) Certified Surgical Technologist

• Basic Cardiac Life Support, or BCLS Instructor must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
