Job summary

HCA Florida Ocala Hospital is seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist to support the surgical team. You will prepare the suite, position the patient, and hand instruments and supplies during procedures while maintaining a sterile field and accurate instrument counts.

The role requires CST/TS-C/SA-C/NRST certification, a vocational Surgical Technology program, and at least 1 year of experience, with BLS eligibility within 30 days of start.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Vocational training program in Surgical Technology.
• BLS within 30 days of employment start date.
• CST or TS-C or SA-C or NRST certification.
• 1 year of experience required.

Responsibilities

• Prepares the surgical suite and positions the patient.
• Provides instruments, equipment and supplies to the surgical team.
• Ensures sterile field and correct instrument counts.
• Participates in patient-specific care under the Circulating RN.

Job Summary And Qualifications

The Certified Surgical Technologist delivers high quality, patient-centered care by performing various functions to support the efficient operation of the surgical suite. Under the supervision of the Circulating RN, the Certified Surgical Technologist prepares the surgical suite, positions and prepares the patient, and provides instruments, equipment, and supplies to the surgical team during the procedure. The Certified Surgical Technologist ensures a sterile field, proper instrument counts, and proper operation of instruments and equipment. The Certified Surgical Technologist participates in patient-specific care as directed and follows service excellence standards to promote optimum patient satisfaction.

What qualifications you will need:

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent
• Vocational training program in Surgical Technology
• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• (CST) Certified Surgical Technologist, or (TS‑C) Tech in Surgery – Certified, or (SA‑C) Surgical Assistant Certified, or (NRST) Nationally Registered Surgical Technician
• 1 years experience Required Years of Experience
