Job summary

NorthShore University HealthSystem in Glenview, IL is seeking a Certified Surgical Tech to join the Operating Room team. This full-time role involves intraoperative scrub duties, instrument preparation, counts, and patient movement under the Cardiovascular Institute.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, completion of an approved Surgical Technologist program (or 3 years of ST experience), and CPR certification; CST certification is highly preferred.

• Graduate of an approved Surgical Technologist school or minimum 3 years' experience as a Surgical Technologist
• Current CPR certification required. Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) highly preferred

Responsibilities

• Perform scrub person duties during the intraoperative phase of surgical procedures
• Assist in the preparation and dispensing of instruments, equipment and supplies required for surgical procedures
• Conduct all instrument, needle, sharps and sponge counts, as well as handle specimens
• Assist in the application of dressings or casts and moving patients
• Assist in decontamination/reprocessing area when assigned
• Maintain inventory in Operating Room and on carts

Hourly Pay Range

$24.86 - $37.29 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

Position Highlights

• Position: Certified Surgical Tech
• Location: Glenview, IL
• Full Time/Part Time: Full time
• Hours: Monday-Friday, 6:30am-3:00pm, on call rotation required

What you will need

• Education: High school graduate or equivalent. Graduate of an approved Surgical Technologist school or minimum 3 years' experience as a Surgical Technologist
• Certification: Current CPR certification required. Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) highly preferred
