Job summary

NorthShore University HealthSystem in Glenview, IL is seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist to support the operating room team. This role supports intraoperative procedures, prepares instruments, and ensures sterile technique for safe patient care.

The position is 32 hours per week, with a Monday-Friday schedule and on-call rotation. Candidates should have a high school diploma or equivalent, CST training or significant experience, and CPR certification; CST certification is highly

Qualifications

• Education: High school graduate or equivalent.
• Graduate of an approved Surgical Technologist school or minimum 3 years' experience as a Surgical Technologist
• Certification: Current CPR certification required. Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) highly preferred

Responsibilities

• Perform scrub person duties during the intraoperative phase of surgical procedures
• Assist in the preparation and dispensing of instruments, equipment and supplies required for surgical procedures
• Conduct all instrument, needle, sharps and sponge counts, as well as handle specimens
• Assist in the application of dressings or casts and moving patients
• Assist in decontamination/reprocessing area when assigned
• Maintain inventory in Operating Room and on carts

Job description

Hourly Pay Range

$26.61 - $39.92

The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.
