Purpose and Scope:

Supports FMCNA's mission, vision, core values, and customer service philosophy. Adheres to the USV / FMCNA Compliance Program, including all regulatory and policy requirements. Under supervision, performs scrub and circulating duties during interventional procedures, assists with procedure room preparation, inventory, and stocking.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Assist with maintaining and setting up the procedure room in compliance with policies and regulations.
2. Stock procedure room and trays with supplies and equipment.
3. Clean the procedure room and equipment post-procedure.
4. Assist in preparing patients for procedures, including positioning and prepping.
5. Perform tasks as directed by physicians, within state regulations.
6. Prepare and administer medications within scope and regulations.
7. Transfer and position patients, transport to and from the procedure room.
8. Assist physicians during procedures under fluoroscopy, maintaining sterile technique.
9. Draw and label intravenous medications as per policies.
10. Perform circulating duties in the procedure room.
11. Maintain patient confidentiality per HIPAA policies.
12. Ensure environment cleanliness and safety; inspect and maintain equipment.
13. Assist with disposal of hazardous materials and linens.
14. Support sterilization and packaging of instruments.
15. Organize and utilize supplies efficiently to prevent waste.
16. Support quality standards and continuous improvement initiatives.
17. Maintain medical and operational records accurately.
18. Assist with clerical tasks, including imaging and training new staff.
19. Manage inventory, ordering, and restocking supplies.
20. Process x-ray images and archive patient data as required.
21. Participate in regulatory and accreditation activities.
22. Perform other duties as assigned.

    Physical Demands and Working Conditions:

    Includes desk work, patient interaction, and exposure to health care environment. Must lift up to 50 pounds, stand for extended periods, and work with protective gear. Reasonable accommodations available.

    Education and Experience:

    High School Diploma required; Surgical Technologist Certification per state regulation; relevant licensure and training. 1-2 years' related experience preferred; knowledge of interventional radiology equipment and sterile techniques; BLS certification required.
