Job summary

SolutionHealth is seeking a Certified Surgical Technician Student – OR to join our active operating room team. You will identify and prepare sterile instrumentation, support the verification process, and assist with intra-operative and closure procedures under the Circulator and RN Unit Director.

Current students in the Elliot CST Apprenticeship Program with BLS certification and NH Medical Technologist registration (or equivalent NH license) are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• Current student enrolled in Elliot CST Apprenticeship Program.
• Current BLS certification required.
• New Hampshire Medical Technologist registration is required (unless other current NH state license is held).

Responsibilities

• Identify and prepare sterile instrumentation and equipment for surgical procedures.
• Assist surgical team with verification process.
• Assist surgical team with intra-operative procedures and with closure procedures.
• Review the surgical booking and matches procedures to preference cards.
• Accurately uses surgical preference cards for selection of instrumentation.
• Inspect instruments for sterility, safety and function.
• Evaluate surroundings to maintain sterile field.
