Job summary

CoxHealth Surgery Center in Springfield, Missouri seeks a qualified Surgical Technologist to join the operating room team. The role supports perioperative patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, performing technical and supportive tasks per established standards and procedures.

Required: graduation from a Surgical Technology program or 5 years’ experience as a Surgical Technologist; preferred hospital experience and strong communication, teamwork, and multitasking abilities.

• Previous hospital experience preferred.

Job Description:

A member of the CoxHealth Surgery Center team who functions under the supervision of the Registered Nurse and performs a variety of technical and supportive functions to assist with the care of the patient throughout their perioperative phase of hospitalization utilizing hospital/departmental standards, policies, protocols and procedures.

Education

Required: Graduate from a school of Surgical Technology or 5 years’ experience as a Surgical Technologist

Experience

Preferred: Previous hospital and/or work experience as a Surgical Technologist
