Job summary

CoxHealth is seeking a Surgical Technologist to join the Cox Surgery Center team. Under RN supervision, you will perform a variety of technical and supportive tasks to assist patient care during the perioperative phase, following hospital standards and procedures.

Qualified candidates graduate from a Surgical Technology program or have 5 years of related experience, with strong communication, teamwork, and adaptability in a fast-paced environment. Hospital experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate from a school of Surgical Technology or 5 years’ experience.
• Preferred hospital and/or Surgical Technologist experience.
• Knowledge of perioperative standards and protocols.

Responsibilities

• Assist with patient care during the perioperative phase under RN supervision.
• Support surgeons and scrub duties as assigned.
• Adhere to department policies, safety rules, and documentation requirements.

Job Description: A member of the CoxHealth Surgery Center team who functions under the supervision of the Registered Nurse and performs a variety of technical and supportive functions to assist with the care of the patient throughout their perioperative phase of hospitalization utilizing hospital/departmental standards, policies, protocols and procedures.

Education

• Required: Graduate from a school of Surgical Technology or 5 years’ experience as a Surgical Technologist

Experience

• Preferred: Previous hospital and/or work experience as a Surgical Technologist
