Responsibilities

• Attend training on new equipment and complete competency evaluations.
• Document sterilization and use of equipment.

Shriners Children's Spokane is looking for a part-time Surgical Technologist to join the team!*No Weekends, No Nights*Key Responsibilities:Competency to create and maintain a sterile field, providing equipment and supplies, performing sponge, sharps and instruments counts.Providing visualization of operative site.Independently pulls cases utilizing preference sheets and OR special equipment lists.Updates, reviews lists making changes as necessary. Reviews cases, and equipment prior to start of case.Is scrubbed in and has equipment prior to patient arriving into the OR suiteVerifying efficacy of equipment, operating, maintaining, verifying, and recording efficacy of equipmentDetermines and documents efficacy of equipment. Records reflect accurate description of operations, sterilization, and use of equipmentFamiliar with proper assembly, operation, and disassembly of all OR equipment and attends in-service on new equipmentAttends in-service on new equipment, completes competency evaluation successful in operation and maintaining equipment used within the departmentRequired Qualifications:Surgical Technologist LicenseBasic Life Support (BLS)Preferred Qualifications:High School Diploma/GEDSurgical Technologist Certification (CST)1 year experience with scrub skillsThe pay range for this position is $29.79-$44.69/hourlyCompensation is determined based on years of relevant experience and departmental equity.
