Job summary

Shriners Children’s seeks an experienced Surgical Technologist to join the operating room team. The ST will support the surgeon and RN to facilitate safe invasive procedures, ensure a sterile field and readiness of instruments and equipment.

Required qualifications include a High School Diploma/GED, Certified Surgical Technologist and CPR, with at least 1 year of scrub and circulation experience, plus sterile technique expertise.

Job Description

The surgical technologist (ST) is an integral part of the surgical health care team and functions in the role of scrub person. The ST works under the supervision of the registered nurse and surgeon to facilitate the safe and effective conduct of invasive surgical procedures, ensuring that the operating room environment is safe, that equipment functions properly and that the operative procedure is conducted under conditions that maximize patient safety.

Compensation is determined based on years of relevant experience and departmental equity.
