Responsibilities

The Operating Room Technician is responsible for preparing sterile supplies and instruments for assigned procedures, maintaining sterile fields during cases, and providing surgeons with sterile supplies and instruments during procedures.

Qualifications

Education, Experience, and Training:

1. High School Diploma or Equivalent or related experience required for new hires effective April 2014.
2. Graduate of an ORT training program or on-the-job training with a minimum of 3 years of experience (surgical setting preferred).
3. Experience in scrubbing minor and major procedures across general surgical specialties (e.g., GYN, General, Plastics).
4. Experience in scrubbing at least minor procedures in specialty surgical areas (e.g., ortho, neuro, ENT, Urology).
5. Current BLS (AHA) certification upon hire and maintain current.
