Job description

SIGN ON BONUS

Full time: $2000

Part time: $1000

Job Summary:

Under the direction of the Registered Nurse and/or Physician, the Surgical Technologist handles the instruments, supplies, and equipment necessary during complex surgical procedures in specialties such as Cardiac, Neurosurgical, Neuro-interventional, and Transplant surgeries. The technologist ensures quality patient care during operative procedures and maintains the sterile field vigilantly.

Position Responsibilities:

  1. Scrubs for, prepares, sets up, and assists during surgical procedures, providing support to nursing and ancillary departments by transporting and transferring patients to and between units when necessary.
  2. Prepares instruments and supplies for upcoming procedures.
  3. Collects and handles specimens according to policy and procedures.

Position Qualifications Required:

  • Required Experience: One year OR training.
  • Required Education: High school graduate or equivalent; graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology Training Program.
  • Training / Certification / Licensure: BLS; Surgical Technologist Certification preferred.
