Job summary

Menorah Medical Center is seeking a Surgical Technologist to support our OR team in Overland Park, KS. You will prepare the surgical suite, pass instruments, and assist during procedures, collaborating with skilled colleagues to ensure safe, efficient surgeries.

The ideal candidate is a graduate of an accredited CORT program, with BLS within 30 days of hire and 1–2 years of OR experience preferred. This role offers growth through ongoing education and strong teamwork.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of Certified Operating Room Technicians (CORT).
• Certification preferred (CORT).
• American Heart Association BLS within 30 days of hire.
• One to two years OR experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Set up and maintain the surgical suite with instruments, supplies and equipment.
• Assist with patient transport, positioning, prepping and draping.
• Scrub in and provide instruments, handle specimens and anticipate needs.
• Monitor patients and equipment during procedures and respond to concerns.
• Maintain sterile technique and support a high-performing team.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Setting up and maintaining the surgical suite with instruments, supplies, and advanced equipment to ensure safe, seamless procedures
• Assisting with patient transport, positioning, prepping, and draping while prioritizing comfort, privacy, and safety
• Scrubbing in and partnering with the surgical team by providing instruments, handling specimens, and anticipating the team’s needs
• Monitoring patients and surgical equipment throughout procedures, responding promptly and effectively to any concerns
• Upholding sterile technique, completing room turnover efficiently, and supporting a high-performing, collaborative team environment

What qualifications you will need:

• Graduate of an accredited school of Certified Operating Room Technicians (CORT)
• Certification preferred (CORT)
• American Heart Association BLS required within 30 days of hire
• One to two years previous OR experience preferred.
