We are hiring for a Surgical Technologist at Saint Joseph Mercy Health System. This role involves assisting surgeons and residents by preparing and passing surgical instruments, maintaining aseptic techniques, and performing reprocessing tasks. The position requires completion of an accredited Surgical Technologist Program and certification within the first year of employment.

Responsibilities include:

1. Assisting with surgical procedures by providing instruments and supplies.
2. Maintaining sterile technique throughout operations.
3. Identifying and resolving breaches in aseptic technique.
4. Performing sterilization and reprocessing of surgical tools.
5. Performing additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Completion of an accredited Surgical Technologist Program.
• Certification required within one year of employment and must be maintained.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work with diverse groups.

Work Schedule:

• Full-time evening shift, 40 hours/week.
• Variable hours from 9:00 PM to 7:30 AM, including weekends and holidays on a scheduled rotation.
