UCHealth Longs Peak ASC in Longmont is seeking a PRN Surgical Tech for the Day shift. The role supports the safe setup and execution of surgical procedures and requires BLS certification, state licensure as a Surg Tech or assistant, and relevant experience.

The position is onsite with no remote option and offers an hourly pay range based on experience. Responsibilities include preparing OR, assisting during procedures, handling instruments, and processing specimens for lab delivery.

Formación

• BLS/CPR certification from AHA or ARC, valid through 60 days after hire.
• CO state license as Surgical Tech or Assistant.
• High school diploma or GED or military training.

Responsabilidades

• Prepares the surgical operating suite with drapes, solutions, instruments, equipment and supplies.
• Ensures equipment and instruments are in good working order; assists with preparing, transporting, positioning and draping patients.
• Passes instruments to physician during surgery and tracks instruments and supplies.
• Receives and processes specimens for delivery to the laboratory.
• Works in a fast-paced environment with critical thinking and minimal supervision.

Summary

Facilitates the safe and efficient performance of surgical procedures.

Responsibilities

• Prepares surgical operating suite with drapes, solutions, instruments, equipment and supplies.
• Ensures good working order of equipment and instruments. Assists with preparing, transporting, positioning and draping patients.
• Passes instruments to physician during surgery. Continually accounts for number and location of instruments and supplies during surgery.
• Receives and processes specimens for delivery to the laboratory.
• Within scope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgement and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and take appropriate action.

Requirements

• Credentials:
• Basic Life Support- BLS through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross with card in-hand before start date. BLS or CPR card must be good through sixty days of hire. All renewals must be issued by the American Heart Association.

• 6 months Surgical Tech experience or graduate of an accredited Surgical Tech program.
