Location:UCHealth Longs Peak Hospital, US:CO: Longmont

Department:LPH Operating Room

Work Schedule:Full Time, 80.00 hours per pay period (2 weeks)

Shift:Days

Pay:$27.61 - $41.41 / hour. Pay is dependent on applicant's relevant experience

This position is an onsite role and does not offer a hybrid or remote option

Summary: Facilitates the safe and efficient performance of surgical procedures.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepares surgical operating suite with drapes, solutions, instruments, equipmentand supplies.
  • Ensures good working order of equipment and instruments. Assists with preparing, transporting, positioning and draping patients.
  • Passesinstruments to physician during surgery. Continuallyaccounts for number andlocationof instruments and supplies during surgery.
  • Receives and processes specimens for delivery to the laboratory.
  • Within scope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgement and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and take appropriate action.

Requirements:

  • Education: High School diploma or GED or Military trained.
  • Licensure/Certification: State Surgical Assistant or Surgical Technologist registration. Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider.
  • Minimum Experience: 6 months Surgical Tech experience or graduate of an accredited Surgical Tech program.
  • BLS through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer with card in-hand before start date. BLS or CPR card must be good through sixty days of hire.
