Job description

Our operating room teams have unit-based leadership and are supportive and collaborative with one another. We believe in creating teams that are kind, professional and treat each other as they would a patient. This is key to being successful in this position. These teams work with innovative processes and technologies such as our continuous expansion of our robotics programs.

Hiring for the following locations:

• Saint Luke's East Hospital - Lee's Summit, MO
• Saint Luke's North Hospital - Kansas City, MO Barry Rd
• Saint Luke's South Hospital - Overland Park, KS
• Saint Luke's Hospital of Kansas City - Kansas City, MO Plaza

Responsibilities:

1. Assists in the delivery of direct primary care to the patient experiencing surgical intervention.
2. Primary function is to assist with surgical procedures and to help Sterile processing and Surgical Tech needs for potential Trauma cases.
3. Sterile processing duties are also a primary part of this role in addition to assisting during surgical procedures as a Surgical Technologist.

To be successful as a surgical technologist, you will need to be an experienced surgical technologist who thrives under pressure, is passionate about their career and professional development, a team player who sets their team up for success, can change directions quickly and can stay positive during any situation. We are looking for surgical technologist professionals who are eager to learn and excited to learn about new technologies and procedures. We are seeking a critical thinker who possesses strong communication and time management skills.

Experience as a Surgical Technologist and a BLS certification.
