Job Summary and Qualifications

The OB Surgical Technician, under supervision of a registered nurse, provides perioperative nursing tasks for patients requiring surgery or vaginal delivery. Assists the Labor and Delivery team with patient care, equipment, and supplies. Provides care for Neonatal, Infant, adolescent (12-17 years), and adult (18-50 years) patients.

Qualifications:

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of Surgical Technician Program preferred.
• Certification as a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) preferred.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) from AHA or ARC required.
• One-year experience in perioperative or obstetrical setting preferred.
