Job summary

DISC Surgery Center in Carlsbad, CA is seeking a full-time Surgical Technologist to join our orthopedic, spine and pain management team. The role supports operating room prep, patient skin prep, draping, and instrument handling for several procedures, with a Monday–Friday day schedule.

Qualified candidates will have graduated from an accredited Surgical Technician program, plus 2+ years of experience and BCLS certification within 90 days (or current).

Qualifications

• Graduate of a recognized and accredited Surgical Technician Program.
• 2+ years of working experience as a Surgical Tech.
• Successful completion of BCLS course within 90 days of employment or current BCLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Assists with the preparation of the operating room for surgical procedures.
• Assist with skin preparations and with draping of patients.
• Assists with care, preparation, maintenance, and after-care of sterile and un-sterile supplies and equipment.
• Removes drapes at the end of the procedure, cleanses the patient and applies dressing as needed.
• Clean and disinfect instruments and equipment after use.
• Participate in sponge, instrument, and needle count with the circulating nurse.
• Assist with stocking, replenishing, and preparation of supplies.
• Check updated schedule every morning and prepare room supplies and equipment.
• Back up materials manager in placing orders for supplies and implants.

DISC Surgery Center is seeking a Full‑Time Surgical Technologist for our Carlsbad location. This position will have a Monday - Friday schedule and assist with orthopedic, spinal and pain management procedures.

In this position, you will:

• Assists with the preparation of the operating room for surgical procedures.
• Assist with skin preparations and with draping of patients
• Assists with care, preparation, maintenance, and after‑care of sterile and un‑sterile supplies and equipment.

Qualifications:

Pay Range: $30.00 - $45.00/hour
