Job summary

Garden Grove Hospital Medical Center in Southern California is seeking an Operating Room Technician for per diem day shifts. The role involves preparing sterile supplies, maintaining sterile fields, and assisting the surgeon with instruments during procedures.

Qualified candidates will have a high school diploma or equivalent, ORT training or equivalent experience (3+ years preferred), experience scrubbing various surgical specialties, and current BLS certification.

Qualifications

Education and Work Experience

• High School Diploma or Equivalent or related experience required for new hires effective April 2014.
• Graduate of an ORT training program or on the job training with a minimum of 3 years experience (surgical setting preferred).
• Experience in scrubbing minor and major procedures in the generalized surgical specialties, (i.e., GYN, General and Plastics).
• Experience in scrubbing at least minor procedures in the specialty surgical areas (i.e., ortho, neuro, ENT, Uro. Etc.).
• Current BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current.

Pay Transparency

Huntington Beach Hospital offers competitive compensation and a reasonable compensation estimate for this role is $27.10 to $27.10. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
