Job summary

Shasta Regional Medical Center in Northern California seeks an Operating Room Tech to support sterile supplies, maintain sterile fields, and assist surgeons during procedures.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent or related experience required for new hires effective April 2014.
• Graduate of an ORT training program or on the job training with a minimum of 3 years experience (surgical setting preferred).
• Experience in scrubbing minor and major procedures in the generalized surgical specialties (e.g., GYN, General and Plastics).
• Experience in scrubbing minor procedures in specialty areas (e.g., ortho, neuro, ENT, Uro. etc.).
• Current BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current.

Responsibilities

The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
