Job summary

Garden Grove Hospital Medical Center is seeking an Operating Room Tech to prepare sterile supplies, maintain sterile fields, and assist the surgeon during procedures. The role supports a high-quality surgical team at a well-regarded Southern California hospital.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or equivalent, ORT training or equivalent experience, and current BLS certification. Per diem shifts are available, with daytime hours at Garden Grove location.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required for new hires.
• Graduate of an ORT training program or on-the-job training with minimum 3 years experience in surgical setting preferred.
• Experience scrubbing minor and major procedures in generalized surgical specialties (GYN, General, Plastics).
• Current BLS (AHA) certificate on hire and maintain current.

Responsibilities

• Prepare sterile supplies and instruments for each procedure and maintain sterile field.
• Provide surgeon with sterile supplies and instruments during procedures.

Responsibilities

The Operating Room Tech is responsible for the preparation of sterile supplies and instruments for each assigned procedure, maintaining sterile field during case and providing surgeon with sterile supplies and instruments during assigned procedures.

Qualifications

Education and Work Experience

1. High School Diploma or Equivalent or related experience required for new hires effective April 2014.

2. Graduate of an ORT training program or on the job training with a minimum of 3 years experience (surgical setting preferred).

3. Experience in scrubbing minor and major procedures in the generalized surgical specialties, (i.e., GYN, General and Plastics).

4. Experience in scrubbing at least minor procedures in the specialty surgical areas (i.e., ortho, neuro, ENT, Uro. Etc.).

5. Current BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current.

Pay Transparency

Huntington Beach Hospital offers competitive compensation and a reasonable compensation estimate for this role is $27.10 to $27.10. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
