Rivers Health is seeking a full-time Certified Surgical Technician in our Surgical Services Department. The role involves direct patient care in the Operating Room under the supervision of the registered nurse, following departmental standards and procedures.

Responsibilities include instrument setup, maintaining asepsis, assisting surgeons, and coordinating supplies to support safe, efficient operative care. The incumbent works closely with OR staff to uphold patient privacy and quality care.

Qualifications

• Direct patient care in the operating room under RN supervision.
• Adheres to departmental standards, policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Performs surgical hand scrubs and assists surgeon during cases.
• Maintains sterile technique and asepsis throughout procedures.
• Assists in decontamination, sterilization and set up of instruments and equipment.
• Ensures adequate supplies and attends to patient transport within the OR setting.
• Works cooperatively with team members and respects patient privacy.
