Job summary

Providence St. Joseph Medical Center in Polson, MT is seeking a Surgical Technician to support the operating room team. You will set up and maintain a sterile field, assist the surgeon as needed, and help circulating nurses and other team members throughout procedures.

The role requires completing an accredited Surgical Tech program, CST certification eligibility, and BLS upon hire. Prior OR experience is preferred and GI endoscopy is a bonus.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited Surgical Tech program is required.
• National CST certification is preferred at hire.
• BLS certification through American Heart Association at hire.

Responsibilities

• Set up and maintain a sterile field for procedures.
• Assist the surgeon as necessary during operations.
• Assist circulating nurse and other members of the surgical team.
• Maintain familiarity, function and care of OR equipment and instruments.
• Take responsibility for care of specimens and related duties.

Education

Graduate of an accredited Surgical Tech Program

National Certified Surgical Technologist - National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting upon hire

National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire
