Job summary

Austin Oral Surgery is seeking a Surgical Technician in San Marcos, TX. You will assist the surgeon during consultations and surgeries, provide pre- and post-operative care, and help ensure patient safety and office efficiency.

You will monitor vitals, follow OSHA standards, and maintain records, while supporting the team with equipment and radiographic imaging. This on-site position emphasizes excellent patient experience and adaptability.

Qualifications

• CPR certification is required.
• Oral and Maxillofacial Assisting/Dental Assistant certification preferred.
• Hepatitis B vaccination & Titers required.
• TB vaccination & Titers required.

Responsibilities

• Assist the doctor during surgeries, seat patients, and take vitals.
• Provide pre-operative and post-operative instructions to patients.
• Adhere to OSHA and radiation safety guidelines for patients and radiographic exposure.
• Document and maintain accurate medical records and charting.
• Prepare and maintain clinical equipment and instruments for procedures.
• Maintain professional relationships with patients, doctors and staff; support a collaborative team environment.
