Job summary

Austin Oral Surgery is seeking a Surgical Technician in Marble Falls, TX to assist during consultations and surgeries, provide outstanding pre-operative and post-operative care, and help maintain high patient satisfaction and office efficiency.

You will support the surgeon, monitor vitals, and ensure proper documentation while upholding safety and confidentiality in a dynamic surgical setting.

Responsibilities

• Surgical Support: Assist the doctor during surgeries, seat patients, and take vitals; maintain competency in anesthesia monitoring and ensure consent forms and treatment plans are completed.
• Patient Care Expert: Provide pre-operative and post-operative instructions to patients; obtain necessary medical clearances and maintain care standards.
• Compliance and Safety Adherence: Follow OSHA and regulatory guidelines; ensure radiation protection and proper radiographic exposure and positioning.
• Record Keeping and Documentation: Maintain accurate records/charting in accordance with standards.
• Equipment and Instrument Maintenance: Prepare and maintain clinical equipment and instruments.
• Interpersonal Relations: Maintain good rapport with patients, doctors, and team members; resolve conflicts constructively.
• Confidentiality and Professionalism: Protect patient, clinic, and hospital information.
• Patient Experience Enhancement: Ensure patient comfort and satisfaction throughout the visit.
• Adaptability and Flexibility: Take on special projects and additional responsibilities as needed.
