Job summary

USPI Arizona Specialty Hospital, part of United Surgical Partners International, is seeking a Surgical Technician for full-time roles in Phoenix. The position focuses on sterile technique, instrument handling, and collaboration with the surgical team to ensure patient safety and efficient procedures.

The role requires OR experience and CPR certification, with a preferred OR Technology certification. On-call duties are part of the job, and a comprehensive benefits package accompanies this

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Certification in OR Technology preferred.
• Previous clinical experience in Operating Room environment desired.
• Current CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Be responsible for providing surgical scrub on all types of procedures.
• Ensure sterility of supplies and instruments during setup.
• Assist circulating nurse and surgical team in maintaining sterile environment.
• Gown and glove surgeons and assistants.
• Perform sponge, needle, and instrument counts pre-operatively and intra-operatively with the circulating nurse.
• Transport all surgical equipment to appropriate cleaning areas and assist in cleaning/reprocessing of instrument sets.
• Interact appropriately with patients and staff, maintaining privacy and safety.
• On-call is required and adherence to safety guidelines.
