Job summary

Covenant Hobbs Hospital is seeking a Surgical Technologist to support the operating room team. You will maintain the sterile field, pass instruments, sutures and sponges during surgery, and assist the Registered Nurse Circulator with circulating duties.

Under supervision, you will ensure aseptic technique is applied to prevent contamination and infection, contributing to safe patient care in the perioperative setting.

Qualifications

• Aseptic technique is used to prevent contamination and infection.
• Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program or armed services program.
• Certification as a Surgical Technologist (or equivalent) required upon hire.
• BLS certification through the American Heart Association required upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the sterile field in the operating room and pass instruments, sutures, and sponges during surgery.
• Assist the Registered Nurse Circulator with circulating duties and ensure aseptic technique throughout procedures.
