Job summary

Qualifications

• CST certification is required.
• Completion of an approved technologist program or 1 year of technologist experience.
• Current BLS certification must be maintained.
• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Ability to read, write, speak and comprehend English; basic numeracy and data entry are expected.

Responsibilities

• Facilitates rapid cleaning and preparation of the OR by assisting environmental services with cleaning.
• Ensure all equipment and supplies are available before starting a case.
• Gather missing supplies or equipment before scrubbing.
• Assist circulating nurse in preparing the OR for a procedure.
• Transmit patient data and pertinent information accurately to the health care team.
