Job summary

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited surgical technologist program or 5 years of surgical technologist experience.
• BLS certification through American Heart Association required.
• Preferred certification in surgical technology.

Responsibilities

• Performs direct patient care duties.
• Organizes supplies based on surgery schedule and daily needs of the department.
• Cares for patients under RN supervision.
• Communicates patient care needs to families and staff.
• Maintains clinical knowledge, skills, and credentials.
• Adapts to rapid changes in department due to census, acuity, and resources.
• Performs other related duties as required.
